Long division 🧮📝
Long division can be used for dividing large numbers. The largest number, the dividend is divided by the divisor which is usually at least two digits long and results in the quotient or answer. This is done by breaking up the dividend into smaller pieces and dividing these pieces to find the answer.
Steps
1. Divide the first or first two numbers by the divisor to get the answer
2. Multiply the answer by the divisor
3. Subtract the answer from the first or first two numbers you have used
4. Bring down the next number next to the answer
5. Repeat the process
